November 1, 2025 Results

On Saturday, November 1, 2025 258 middle school debaters from 13 schools competed in the CT Middle School Debate League’s first event of the season: a scrimmage for novice debaters and a tournament for experienced debaters. They debated the motion: This House supports U.S. federal congressional term limits. 71 volunteer judges made the day possible. Results can be found on tabroom.com under Results for CTMSDLNov1.

Aarna Jaggi from Timothy Edwards Middle School, South Windsor was the first place speaker. The Middlebrook Middle School, Wilton team of Pendse, Shim & Dobson took the first place team award. Teams from Middlebrook, Westfield, Bethel and Amity won all 3 of their debate rounds.

The CTMSDL’s next tournament will be held at Seymour High School on December 13, 2025. The prep-ahead motion will be: This House would establish a permanent host city for the winter Olympics and a permanent host city for the summer Olympics.
